Instructions:

  • Prep clay positive to mould – using
  • Cut thin pieces of sheet metal and press into clay around the entire exterior  (inch behind ears) of the mould then close gaps using tape to create clean wall in finished mould
  • release table and sculpture – use paste wax on table and spray release (2300 release) before applying baby powder over entire surface
  • Print Coat to start then 2-3 layers using Polyfiber thickener
  • Use Plaster Rasp to expose Metal sheets (use to remove sharp edges)
  • Ears may break off so use small tool to pick out broken chunks of clay
  • To remove residue use Naphtha and disposable brush
  • Spray 2500 mould release or Ultra 4 Mould release before casting in silicone
  • Add Pigment just to Part A
  • Then add Part B
  • Add Tin-Thix-and Mix before pouring not cast and brushing into details
  • Put sides back together and seal
  • mix another batch of Silicone and Pour into closed mould (don’t add Tin-Thix)
  • Run around mould – 5 min working time
  • Polyfoam F5 flexible Foam at 1:1 ratio – cures white
  • Add Poly-Colour Brown Pigment
  • Then Add part B and Mix
  • 4-500 G to film normal sized head – 8-10 times inflation of foam (work using smaller amounts os foam and add layers if needed
  • Set at an angle (in bucket) and allow foam to rise – leave for 1 hour
  • Pull ears free before releasing mould
