The theory tutorial meting on Thursday 26th yielded another set of interesting changes to the exhibition outcome.

Essentially, we need a deeper investigation or specificity in what sort of ‘institution critique we will be making in the exhibition.

Although John (JDM) was excited about the prospect of the gallery gist shop, he feels that ‘it can be made more interesting…[we could] go deeper? Is the Gift Shop a viable refrence point to critique, or could you go further with this assumption, to the art [university] institution itself, or something even more controversial’

But how much deeper?

There is such a departure that we have already made from the literal, the angle at which we approach the exhibition is something we really need to think quite deeply about. Although I am excited about the prospect in the change of our questioning/inquiry that could lead to a very relevant, forward-thinking exhibition critique, it remains slightly concerning that so close to the due date we are still undecided on a lot of aspect of the end of term exhibition.

Nevertheless, comments made in earlier weeks by Lucy Gunning and Elizabeth Peebles respectively have yielded very positive results in terms of out level of collaboration to really problem solve our exhibition idea.

In the coming we there will be intense discussion as the avenue of enquiry of the exhibition. Will we discontinue with the Gift Shop idea or will we go against the current?

Below is the collaborative Presentation made as a talking point throughout our 30 minute session with JDM [John Douglas Miller]:
