To record the final casting I once again made use of the photography suite to photograph the smaller details/changes that have been made to the mask.
I feel that removing the back of the head made the casting more realistic, as well as allowing for focused efforts on the facial aspects of the mask. This required a lot of fine-tuning including make pour marks as well as significantly moulding the chin and nose area of the cast. In addition I had to smooth and sculpt the ears as well as remove smaller fibers that had been trapped into the clay when moulding throughout the past 2-3 weeks.
I am very happy within the finished casting and I feel that I have successfully made developments within my practice whilst mandating key interest that motivate my work. From this I am developing methods of display as well a Silicone Mask which will take the notion of Hyperrealism even further.
