As there will be inherent properties in terms of display in the External Exhibition, I feel that I have to be very creative in how I mount my head. e have an open space and few members which means there is a lot of floor space to work with and I feel that I should take advantage of this.
I was growing methods of display and came across this image on Tumblr which presented me with avery interesting line of thinking: traditional or non-traditional. Normally heads and busts are mounted on points, sometime covered with a glass casing for presevation and protection purposes. But is this the avenue I really want to go down?
The image above shows a model mounted in this same way, perhaps this would be more appropriate for the second Silicone head I am producing in that I could easily perform a subtle trompè l’oeil but for the clay head (which may just be limited to the facial accepts of the skull, is this above method of display too obtuse?
